Configuring to eCMU
There can be several issues that may be causing the CMU to return a "Waiting for input signal" response. Below are some of the more frequent reasons for receiving this error.
Check the SDI cable routing on the eCMU back panel. Make sure they are in the right position. If you're using an AJA dual Kona4, the lower mini BNCs are the inputs.
The signal format setting should match the input. The setting can be found in the Configuration tab through web browser console.
The CMU ONLY accepts 12bit 444 RGB SDI signal. Make sure the SDI source and all devices in the signal path (splitter/router/matrix, etc.) has been configured correctly.
If you are viewing in 4K resolution, quad-link 3G SDI is the only option available.
Sometimes, the CMU may lose response if you switch the SDI source to a different frame rate. In this instance, try a soft re-boot first, or, if that does't work, a hard re-boot of the CMU may be necessary.
For more options, please refer to the CMU user manual.
Contact your CMU vender for more support if the above trouble shooting does not help.
