Dissolves in Dolby Vision
In the early days of Dolby Vision, color correctors were not equipped to handle dissolves built from the timeline of a project. The reason for this is that the color correctors did not support frame-per-frame Metadata along the duration of the dissolve as would be necessary during a dissolve event for Dolby Vision. Each side of a timeline dissolve will have different Metadata Trim values and the only way to ensure a correct and smooth transition, free of exposure bumps or color mis-matches, is to have per-frame Metadata that is transitioning equally across from the A-side Metadata to the B-side Metadata.
For DaVinci Resolve, this is no longer a problem and so a Re-analyze and export of the metadata using the latest version of Software should correct the problem.
Another solution would be to fix it in Metafier. The command for this is ./Metafier -fix-missing-l1-per-frame
